Innovation Engineer - Automation System (m/w)

Beschreibung

Own the development of operation concepts and automation system architectures for exciting new industrial products
Collaborate with international multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop prototypes and elevate them to exciting new products
Implement and validate automation software on PLC
Select and validate automation system components
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to the role

Qualifikationen / Anforderungen

University Degree in mechatronics engineering, automation or similar (5-years degree MSc, reputable university)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant industrial automation projects with a focus on machine and process control
Proven experience in defining operation concepts and software architecture for PLC and/or micro-controller based automation solutions and complex applications
Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text)
Strong understanding of automation hardware design, including wiring diagrams and sensor selection
Experience in product development, ideally in a technology-driven B2B industrial company
Good knowledge of micro-controller/SoC programming is a plus
Experience with Agile project management frameworks (e.g. Scrum) and Jira is a plus
Experience working in a diverse cultural environment
Passionate to work on complex and diverse technical challenges, develop creative and goal-oriented engineering concepts
Excellent problem-solving skills in multidisciplinary activities, critical and analytical thinking, and the ability to understand complex and diverse engineering concepts
Ability to work with a flexible and collaborative mindset in adapting to changing demands and embracing a responsive development approach
Expresses excitement about working collaboratively to achieve greater outcomes
Demonstrates curiosity to learn new skills, even when they are out of the comfort zone
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills
